Terms of Service

Lope & Lark is a private coordination tool that helps people share holiday homes with family and friends. It provides a shared calendar, house guide, stay management, and payment tracking.

We are not a marketplace, letting agent, or booking platform. We do not match strangers, process stay payments, or take commissions. Every user was personally invited by someone who owns or manages a house on the platform.

• You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
• You must be at least 18 years old to use Lope & Lark.
• One person, one account. Shared or automated accounts are not permitted.

• Setting up a house is free. The free tier includes photos, description, costs, calendar, and to-do list.
• Sharing your house with family and friends requires a paid subscription of £9 per house per month.
• Subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe. You can cancel at any time from your dashboard.
• When you cancel, your house remains set up but sharing features are disabled. Your data is not deleted.
• We may change our pricing with 30 days' notice. Existing subscribers will be notified by email.

Lope & Lark does not process, facilitate, or guarantee payments between users for stays. All financial arrangements for stays happen directly between the parties involved — by bank transfer, Revolut, cash, or any other method they choose.

The payment tracking feature is a record-keeping convenience. Marking a payment as "sent" or "received" on the platform does not constitute proof of payment or create any financial obligation on our part.

You retain ownership of all content you upload — photos, descriptions, house guide entries, messages, and other materials. By uploading content, you grant Lope & Lark a licence to store, display, and transmit it as needed to operate the service.

You must not upload content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes on others' rights. We may remove content that violates these terms.

Your use of Lope & Lark is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your data.

You agree not to:

• Use the platform for commercial short-term letting to strangers.
• Share invite links publicly or on listing sites.
• Attempt to access other users' data or circumvent security measures.
• Use automated tools to scrape or interact with the platform.
• Misrepresent your identity or relationship to a house owner.

We aim to keep Lope & Lark available and reliable, but we provide it "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for:

• Disputes between users about stays, payments, or house access.
• Any loss or damage arising from the condition of a property.
• Service interruptions, data loss, or technical issues beyond our reasonable control.

Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding any claim.

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where possible. On termination, your personal data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We may update these terms from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
